Help Reduce Your Medical claims
Substance users file 300 percent to 400 percent more costly medical claims;
Help Reduce Employee theft
An estimated 50 percent to 80 percent of all pilferage, theft and loss are due to substance-using employees.
Help Reduce Your Costs
Estimates of the cost of substance use to employers vary, from $7,000 to $25,000 annually per substance user
Your organization will realize many benefits if you become a drug free workplace. That's why the State of Ohio also encourages you to become a DFW:
- In 2002 Governor Taft mandated that to provide construction services to the State of Ohio you must be a certified DFW by July 2003.
- OBWC provides insurance to about two-thirds of Ohio's workforce. If you are an OBWC Worker’s Compensation customer and become a certified BWC DFW you can receive up to 20% off of your BWC premiums!
